So, a funny thing happened on my way from the last post - Life! By way of explanation, let me say that I
have been traveling and writing - A LOT! Trips to
St. Augustine, Florida and
Montgomery, Alabama resulted in two visual travel tours that are down-loadable to your IPad, computer, or phone for both an on-site and an armchair travel experience. I must say, both tours were really fun to research, so I'll probably be doing more of them.

I also created an online travel guide called
Exploring Northwest Florida and wrote several in-flight magazine articles for Southwest Airlines, AirTran and Vision Airlines. I wrote online content for
Visit South Walton, an article for VisitFlorida, and ...
an article for Emerald Coast Magazine about great
places to eat in downtown Fort Walton Beach. Oh, and I moved!

So, somewhere in all that, this little blog was lost until I found it the other day. Having reviewed the possibilities of my new-old home in the Carolina border town of Shallotte (the original Charlotte), I decided Southern Fried Travel needs reviving. Once again, I'm in the perfect location for traveling the Southeast from the sea to the mountains. Off we go!
